We started from the bottom of the Acropolis, it’s a hot day, my simple all cotton T-shirt and mini shirt really helped.
Even though it’s a long walk from the bottom of the hill to Acropolis, there are so many attractions to see along the way, I learned so much by reading the introductions next to each site.
Behind me is the city of Athens from the mountain half way to the Acropolis.
The is part of the Acropolis erected recently using the original stones found on the site and computer generated parts to make up the missing stones. All the ancient site was reconstructed according to the original structure partially to show the grandness of the original building. It’s a great concept, you can see the ruins and at the same time see the building when it used to be.
