Best Restaurant in Mont. Tremblant: Chateau Beauvallon

1

We spent one hour driving around the whole city looking for a good restaurant for dinner. I had to stop at this beautiful hill-top restaurant to check out, the result is disappointing, but I am not discouraged, we continued our journey for a good restaurant after the brief stop.

2

Finally with the help of the local food guide, we stopped by Chateau Beauvallon, the menu was very enticing, we decided to stay here for dinner.

The salad is beautiful as well as tasty with very unique source.

4

The Black Cod on top of black rice was succulent. The cod was cooked just right, the cut and mixed vegetables underneath the rice is delicious and healthy.

5

This is the best duck breast dish I have ever had in my life. The key to a good dish is it’s from local which was confirmed by the waiter.

6

Best Creme Brulee I have ever had.

Canada Day 3: Mt. Tremblant

1

Deers wonder around in front of hotels in Mt. Treblant as if they own the place. They are posing for cameras and invite you over to take pictures with them. They coexist with humans very well.

2

I recognize this is a “She” since she really enjoys posing for camera.

6

Gondola takes you from the bottom of the mountain all the way to the top. It’s a small place, but beautiful everywhere.

My Cashmere Sweater is from Neiman Marcus Last Call by Goats, and you saw my pants from Taiwan in a few posts before. I designate them to traveling only.

Second Day Canada: Back from Northern Quebec

1 2

On the way to the North Mountain, we found Paillard Cafe for breakfast which has the best croissant in town. It’s indeed the best croissant I have ever had in my life. The Egg Sandwich is just as delicious. We passed by the place a few times during the day, there is always a long line of at least 10 people.

Visiting Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre on the way back from North Quebec, I was astonished by the details of the building inside out. You won’t miss the gorgeous grand structure driving on the freeway on both ways. It’s free to visit the place inside with any donation of your choice to the basilica. It’s truly a breathtaking experience. Since it’s a rainy and cloudy day, the picture really didn’t do much justice to the iconic structure.

4

The fountain in front of the basilica.

5

I was fascinated by this creation just in front of one building in Quebec, the whole column of the structure was surrounded by live plants. What a beautiful organic wall!

Even though the temperature is much colder comparing to Southern California, local people still wear summer clothes. To them, 60F degree is summer time. I was bunddled up with winter jacket layers on layers.
